When should you see a dermatologist?
Many skin problems are first treated with creams from the pharmacy. That can hide symptoms and make diagnosis harder later.
- Itching or a rash that lasts more than two weeks
- A rash that keeps returning after treatment
- Spots, patches or moles that change in size or colour
- Sudden or heavy hair fall
- Acne that leaves marks or scars
- Any sore, discharge or itching in the genital area
